[controversial position on a political story]

Over recent weeks I have been giving much thought to [controversial topic chosen a propos nothing at all for maximum impact and readership]. I have carefully read [links to sites you’d never expect me to link to] and have found to my surprise [some stuff in here indicating agreement with the stuff you’d never expect me to link to]. In fact I now realise that [position on controversial topic, with links to news articles, tweets, or previous blog posts] is [some formulation to demonstrate assent with the sites I wouldn’t link to showing a change in position despite this being a position that regular readers will never believe].

[some waffle purporting to justify the change in position that no-one could possibly believe]
