Asylum of the Mark Three Travel Machines – review

The set-up, where the mark Three Travel Machines were wanted on suspicion of doing bad things to Movellans and so fled before questioning could be completed, was a little strained to me. The Mark Three Travel Machines then hiding on Earth when their robomen supporters came up with some story about Mechanus wanting to extradite them but only if they went back to the planet of the MOvellans and not if they stayed on Earth, or simply ignore due process at all, didn’t really work. And I was unpersuaded when the Mark Three Travel Machines called on the Movellans to come to Earth to carry out questioning. However, credulity was stretched too far when the Mark Three Travel Machines ignored the formal Movellan arrest warrant and sought refuge in the Exillon Embassy. That Exillon subsequently granted asylum was the moment where I feared the episode passed into satire rather than good old fashioned family fun.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
