BREAKING: Police seek Gambaccini

Police on learning of the sad death of Monkee Davy Jones have today sent out an urgent message asking if anyone knows the whereabouts of Paul Gambaccini.

A police spokesman said,

“If you see this man on a rolling news network or hear him offering an opinion on a news station please do not approach him, and try to turn off his heartwarming anecdotes about the Monkees, early appearances in Coronation Street, or Mr Jones’ time as a jockey. Mr Gambaccini’s track record on these matters is highly suspicious. We should deny him the oxygen of publicity pending completion of our investigations.”

Today (Friday 2/3) I caught a quick glimpse of ‘Gamba’ on the lunchtime news commenting sagely on Englebert Humperdinck’s selection as Britain’s Eurovision numpty. Englebert is 75, and surely now cannot be longer for this world – the Eurovision selectors should already be lining up someone for the subs bench.
