About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

I’d love to see “1982 Janine”, despite it being pretty unfilmable. It’s Jonathan Coe’s favourite book you know – maybe he could do the adaptation…

  2. Whilst on the subject…
    1. I think they should ‘reboot’ Brookmyre and have a second go. I don’t know WHAT they were thinking with the first one.
    2. Can we have more Canadian TV please, there seems to be a certain amount of stuff certainly no worse than the American drek we get.
    3. We have real live SF writers in this country, surely it would be easier to get an SF writer and teach them TV writing, than get a TV writer and teach them SF (keywords Wood, Torch).
    4. It must be time for the polyamorous goth sitcom, surely?

Atwood and Gray v g ideas. Wow the idea of filming Lanark! I’d also love to see Anne marie McDonald’s fallon Your Knees and Linda Grant’s cat Iron Shore as films (or TV films) not seruals i think – again both hardcore chick weepies v suprised no one’s noticed..
there MUST be a film of the Time Traveller’s Wife in the works surely!
