I suspect most people haven’t been watching Superstars and delighting in the performance of the Brian Jacks de nos jours – Alain “finished third in an Olympic alpine event but didn’t get a medal due to having taken an over the counter cold cure” Baxter.  That the show is based on team performances rather than individual endeavour, presumably to stop Baxter winning ridiculously easily, doesn’t help.

But can I congratulate Channel Five on one aspect of the show – the revival of the We are the Champions set, a games hall and a pool.  Now, if only they could persuade Sir Steve and the gang to participate in some games involving inflatables in the pool with Jim Ronsethal indulging in the familiar Ron Pickering exhortation of “right kids away you go” and my nostalgia kick would be complete.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
