Damon Querry on the changeover

Readers of the excellent Behind the Sofa blog will be aware of the comic mastery of Damon Querry, whose inspired forays into hinterlands of popular culture while critiquing each new episode, and old episodes, is a joy to behold.  This morning he posted on the changeover from Davies to Moffat.  It seems too good not to share

“Oh lordy! I’ve just had a thought. Is this going to be like the change over between Blair and Brown? Are we going to find out in some hastily published memoirs that Moffat’s been jangling the TARDIS keys over Davies’ head for the past few years? Will we find out that Davies’ wife fell pregnant during a stop over at the annual Balmoral Who Convention because they forgot the sonic contraception equipment? Will we find out that Chibnall was bulimic all through his tenure in charge of Torchwood…”

Will someone please let him have his own column in DWM or as an occasional replacement for Charlie Brooker – when he’s off making telly/having holidays.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
