MSPs working too hard

the minute for yesterday’s Scottish parliament Local government committee meeting in the Scottish parliament is up.  On Trumpton the vote was 5 – 1 in favour of a debate in the chamber, 2 abstentions.

However, I was taken with the hard work carried out by the committee.  The minute narrates

“The meeting opened at 10.00 am”

then, narrates consideration of Trumpton and the Menie application; and some amendments going through on the nod in relation to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Bill before concluding

“The meeting closed at 10.42 pm.”

12 and 3/4 hours for 2 items of business?  That debate on Trumpton must have been fractious.

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
