Turn again young Lembit, be mayor of London

Welsh MP and asteroid obsessive Lembit Opik is being touted as Lib Dem candidate for mayor of London. This follows the Boris intervention.

Good to see everyone is taking it seriously.

So, for all non-Londoners who would you like to see as mayor of London?

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

Now if only it were John Bird off of Rory Bremner rather than the patronising git from the Big Issue

    • If only the Big Issue were not shite. It would be cool if there were a good magazine you had to pay someone homeless for. I often give them the money but say I don’t want the magazine, but that leads to the question of what I say to the next seller ‘I’ve already given the money to someone else in return for him not giving me the festering waste of paper’?

Pretty much the only thing I care about in London, that’s within the Mayor’s manor, is the transport system.
And I think Ken undertands that; he was certainly right about the disaster that is PPP and Metronet.

George Galloway. Because he’s the only person who would infuriate more people than Ken.
I would’ve voted for Ken though (he’s always seemed mostly a sensible chap modulo the set of people who want power in the first place) if he hadn’t professed support for the commercial rapefest that is neither Olympic nor any sort of games.

  4. In some lights Wee Eck does have the look of a self-satisfied amphibian to him.

For a split second I thought the first one was going to read “Alex from Clockwork Orange” and was about to click it. He’d give Metronet’s yarbles a twist and vidy them wallow in their own debtfester.
