Late night television

When marking examinations I became an afficionado of Late Night Poker and its “Celebrity” variant, filling the gap on premium rate phone in quizzes.  Now, I see that Celebrity poker (which reached its zenith with McCririck and Biggins on the same table) has been replaced on FTN after midnight with Live roulette.  What on earth’s that about?  Do we watch people playing roulette? Is it merely a premium rate excuse?  Are they after a relatively inexpensive game show?  If so, could someone from FTN contact me and I could negotiate about Only fools in hearses, The theory and practice of oligarchical collectivism, or How do you solve a pogrom like Odessa?  I have others and know a man that can provide many more.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

You’d have enjoyed the Poker League variant on C4 last night, then.
Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliot played a fairly mediocre couple of hands, eventually bowing out quite gracelessly with quite a nice little strop, muttered f-words only just ‘off screen’ etc. Quite entertaining, really.
