Hiatus in transmission

My new PC (see previous posts about the death of my last PC) is kaput.  The memory had a fault and the entire system crashed yesterday.  A blue screen appeared and whirring noises in the big box are now accompanied by an inability to open anything on screen.

Fortunately this time all my documents (and many family photos) are backed up in an external hard drive  Apologies to my regular reader as LJ posts and comments will be intermittent for the next few days/weeks while supplier/manufacturer resolve the matter.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

        is there a difference!?
How about this: fevered breath, bated anticipation, cold sweat, the shakes, pbt (post-blogstrual stress), bloghorrhea, and chompitis (i like chomps)
the praedial nature of these livejournals means that the loss of one hits us all hard.
could a laptop and wireless broadband be on the loveandgarbage horizon?? Surely that would facilitate your as-of-yet untried menthod of listening to tachyon fanfics whilst watching the actual episode?

        • After my last unhappy laptop experience I am not keen to devote huge sums of money on something that will die the moment I go near it. If I wanted that, I’d have bought a pet 😉
          PS who are you?

You had an unhappy laptop experience as well as PC experience? oh dear
One of my pet’s died after I took him to a mr chinnory-esque vetinarian, poor bonzo.
Just stumbled across your LJ a few weeks ago and found it amusing, thought I would tune in on a more regular basis.
