Tommy Sheridan update

It has been fairly quiet on the Tommy front recently but two new matters of interest.  First the other day

noted that the Tomster is interested in appearing in Celebrity Big Brother – no doubt a few topless images of Scotland’s hairiest torso will be available (and the money will pay the appeal fees in the forthcoming News of the Screws action).  Now,  the Tomster follows his role model in winning libel actions, George, “Would you like me to be the cat?” Galloway onto the radio.  Gorgeous George has a show on TalkSport (in between Caesar the Geezer and Tommy Boyd – erstwhile presenter of Magpie with Mick Robertson).  The Tomster is to present a radio show where Uncle Tommy will advise on those difficult personal problems, such as how you explain the appearance of 80 phone calls to a female friend on the itemised phone bill to your loving spouse, how to groom the hirsute man, how to explain midnight calls to a swingers club, how to convince your beloved that you and not the eighteen people who heard you say the opposite are to be believed on issues of marital fidelity, and other pressing questions.  The show will be on an Edinburgh based station talk 107.  The theme tune, It wasn’t me by Shaggy and Rik Rok, was personally selected by the Tomster.  For details of this latest venture, with a picture of Tommy looking happy see here from the Edinburgh Evening News.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

Sadly, George’s colleagues aren’t even of that calibre anymore; both were sacked from TalkSport some years ago. He’s now rubbing shoulders with a bunch of Rush Limbaugh-wannabees like Jon Gaunt and Mike Dickin.

      Thanks.
I’ve managed to avoid Talksport aside from hearing George on a couple of occasions out of pure curiosity. Is Gaunt the bloke that won the Sony Gold award a few years back? If he’s anything like Stephen Nolan (role model – Eamonn Holmes, according to his profile on the Five Live website) who won prior to his promotion to Five Live then Talk must be in a poorer state than I’d imagined.
