More on Lord Advocate resignation

Those seeking a sinister motive for the resignation of Lord Boyd as Lord Advocate suggest he has resigned over the Shirley McKie fingerprint affair, or the possible reopening of the Lockerbie trial.  The SNP have welcomed his resignation.  One possibility has not yet been canvassed.  Could Lord Boyd be a secret Tommy Sheridan impersonator in league with sinister forces of the state ;-).  I think we should be told.

Well, let’s go the whole hog – the ideal candidate for Lord Advocate would be a man of iron principle, a born leader, an orator without peer, a skilled and recently successful court practitioner able to win the most unpromising cases, and a person who has in no circumstances ever been in a swinger’s club in Manchester.
There can only be one man.
