James Ellroy on BBC 4

I know that a few on my F-list are interested in the great James Ellroy.  BBC4 are broadcasting a documentary about him later this week (Tuesday at 10.30).  I think it’s the 2001 Arena broadcast “Ellroy’s Feast of Death” which BBC4 have broadcast a couple of times previously.

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

Cool- I remember that, I think it was on at Christmas originally. It’s well worth seeing.

    • I’ve set the timer and dipped into the Hopkins trilogy for background atmosphere.
I heard him once in the Concert Hall in Glasgow. He was wonderfully vitriolic. Afterwards when signing books he was as nice as could be and a real charmer. IIRC the documentary shows both these sides of him.
