In for a penny

One pontiff now wishes he’d gone ahead with his original intention of illustrating his lecture with a powerpoint presentation of cartoons.

Yes, why is there only one pontiff? I prefer the Eastern or Avignon method where there are several!
    (as the song goes,
    “Sous le pontiff
    d’Avignon
    on y danse
    tout en rond”)

    • Must be like the old monopolies and mergers commission.
Surely in the modern era we need more competition. As we’ve proved conclusively in relation to the old nationalised industries here competition between pontiffs will of course improve the quality of each, and lead to a reduction in spiritual costs – unless of course there is a shortage of spiritual energy which has obvious supply and demand consequences on the price to the consumer and – of course – to business.
