Desert Island Discs

So this coming Sunday is Sue Lawley’s last as the presenter of Desert Island Discs.  Seems a good time to update the list of my own eight selections, on the off chance that Kirsty Young needs an ex-conveyancer on the programme.

1.  Hancock’s Half Hour – Twelve Angry Men.

2.  Miles Davis – So what

3.  Jan Garbarek – Her wild ways

4. Keith Jarrett plays Bach’s Goldberg Variations

5.  John Coltrane Quartet (with Eric Dolphy) – Impressions (Live at the Village Vanguard)

6. The Doors – Spanish Caravan

7. Beethoven, Grosse Fuge – String section of Cleveland O live at the Proms in 1990.

8.  Andy Sheppard, Learning to wave

If only one record: Goldberg variations

Book: Lanark, Alasdair Gray

Luxury: Pens and paper

In the spirit of Doctor Who, I’ll explain later.

And your selections?

About loveandgarbage

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
