Grab the nearest book.

Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or “intellectual” book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

Nearest book was Hutton and Anstey: Stamp Duty Land Tax (2nd edition).  by Matthew Hutton (still available at all good book shops).  Unfortunately p 123 despite being a fully printed page only has four sentences on it, one of which has 15 lines.  Still, the thought was there.

If only I’d picked up the book next to it, Stamp Duty Land Tax: The New Law by Reg Nock (also still available in all good book shops) I might have had more success.

Pauses to check.

Ah well, no actually.  That one only has three sentences on it and the longest is 30 lines long and still going as it reaches the foot of the page.

Never mind.

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.
