There now follows a brief message to those conspiracy theorists who believe that the calling of Andy Coulson to give evidence in HMA v Sheridan and Sheridan today was somehow related to the tuition fees debate.
Don’t be so bloody stupid.
First, Coulson was called by Tommy Sheridan. He does not seem to support tuition fees.
Second, Tommy Sheridan in presenting his case can determine the order in which witnesses are called in order to present his arguments in a structured way. See first above.
Third, Coulson would have been here earlier if there hadn’t been illness to a member of the jury; adverse weather conditions affecting when the court opened; and occasional hearings in relation to legal matters that cannot be reported.
And fourth, Coulson will be here for a while. Sheridan’s cross examination of Bob Bird took days. Given the similar issues to be raised examination of Coulson is not a one pipe job.
Sometimes, there is such a thing as coincidence.
“One pipe job” – please explain!
Sherlock Holmes reference. Tricky issues were two or three pipe jobs (ie took the time to smoke 3 pipes). A one pipe job is a quick and easy issue
It is not in the nature of conspiracy theorists to consider rational points like the ones you list no matter how valid.
