I was thinking about Last of the summer Wine partly due to the Guardian publishing two obituaries for Ronnie Hazlehurst (both with and without the reference to writing the S Club 7 song), and partly due to Ming’s age related comments. That one contender was called Clegg seemed too convenient to pass up
