The scene: a Scottish wedding in a church
The bride is a huge fan of the overwrought number 1 hit single, “Everything I do I do it for you” by some Canadian bloke. Apparently this song has been used on the film “Robin Hood: prince of thieves”. The bride therefore asked to be accompanied on the departure from the church by this music. The organist is happy to oblige and makes clear that yes, she can play the music from Robin Hood.
On departure from the church after a typical service the music kicks in. It is from Robin Hood. Unfortunately “Robin Hood RObin Hood riding through the glen” is not happiest accompaniment for a teary bride.
I remember that story!
IIRC, the problem was she asked for . Unfortunate (for her, though not for anyone with an iota of taste) that the classic music from Richard Greene’s series is actually called that.
