They’re having a laugh

Heavily used TV presented Graham Norton – star of that chat show he did which was meant to discuss topical news stories once a week but which vanished form the schedules because nobody watched and in any event wasn’t any good; and that show about dancing that doesn’t have Bruce Forysth but instead involves Norton looking sad as the public dash the dreams of a couple from Walthamstow or the like who have given up their work in a factory or fish and chip shop to take the opportunity to become a professional dancer; and How do you solve a problem like Graham Norton? a Beeb produced Pop Idol spin off presided over by Baron Silas Greenback giving free advertising to the self-same theatrical impressario – has signed an exclusive contract to give us another three fun-filled years of his time occasionally appearing on our screens on the Beeb.  He is apparently “thrilled”.  At least someone is.

I watch the telly and read when not doing law stuff and plugging my decade and a half old unwatched Edinburgh fringe show.

“Graham’s going from strength to strength and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? has been the Saturday night hit of the summer,” he added.
    I want to weep.
What’s this programme of his called The Bigger Picture that is being recommissioned? I have never even heard of it.
