Hannah Gordon’s Water Cooler Challenge
Hannah Gordon – best known as the woman that killed Victor Medlrew - returs to our screens presenting this daytime Channel 4 show (the pre-Countdown slot). Skulking in a nearby office and with CCTV she listens in at the office water cooler as office workers discuss what they saw on last night’s television. Points are awarded for key words and phrases (Did you see? &c) with bonus points for discussion of esoteric digital programming. The winner gets dinner with Richard Wilson.
Dropped from the schedules because it was like watching paint dry.
Replaced by “Watching Paint Dry with Nancy Kaminsky”, a more sedate version of 1970s nice-Jewish-granny-with-palette-knife-does-quick-paintings show “Paint Along With Nancy”. Two geriatric competitors observe a newly painted bench, the first one to successfully “have a nice sit down” without besmirching their crimplene slacks with paint stains wins a Stannah.
